DO NOT BUY!!!!!

I have a brand new Mac Mini (3ghz i7, 16g of RAM) and I can’t get through a battle without it crashing. It’s very frustrating. I’m using version 1.0. Until they fix this problem I think you should avoid this game like the plague.

Great if you meet the requirements..

I run a macbook air, 2012 with 1.8 processor, 4GB memort and Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB. The game run almost smooth. The field battles run fine, it’s just the mouse dragging, screen movement can see a little delay. I usually run unit details at the highest setting, and everything else on low or medium. The unit count is kept at the lowest setting to ensure smooth gameplay, zero crashing using those settings. playing with medium sized units causes crashing 1/16 of the battles so i just run the lowest. It’s more realistic too, the Japan armies were not that big back then. The game mechanics is great, although there might be a learning curve that will take you a couple hours to get used to but that’s not so bad. Love the theme of the game, and how the units fight eachother. Great game, it would be even greater if my mac had better stuff to run the game on its highest settings. If you keep crashing, lower the unit count, or lower the environment detail… I don’t really care how the grass, trees, or building look… On the lowest setting they still look normal to me… Just keep everything low, and keep unit detail at highest and shader at highest because it’s all about the armies, not the grass!

Crashes a lot

I was so excited to get this game when it came out and played it a ton, even though my MacBook Pro Graphics card really isn’t up to snuff for playing this game. Everything was going fine for the first 6 months (right around the time I updated to OS Yosemite, however, now the game crashes all the time. It is to the point where it is nearly unplayable. MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Intel HD Graphics 288 MB

Not with Yosemite OS

This game is absolutely fantastic if you use the old operating system. However, if you’ve downloaded Yosemite, it WILL crash frequently. You will still be able to play some individual battles, but campaign and naval battles will rarely, if ever, work. Again, it’s a great game UNLESS you have Yosemite OS.

Update made a difference

Since the new update, I have had no issues to this point with the game crashing. Have played several campaigns that typically would crash, but have not had that issue. Just completed the Date long campaign without any issues.

Don’t fix what isn’t broken!

After this latest update, the game has gotten rather laggy when attempting to use the same settings I’ve always had, and takes 5 times as long to even start up the application. And then when I try to turn off the game for any reason, it locks up on a black screen with my cursor turning into an hourglass. I had to reset the computer to actually turn it off, for it was STILL trying to turn off after EIGHT hours! We already had settings for graphics, there isn’t a point to upgrading them! As the title says, quit trying to fix things that aren’t broken, and that doesn’t apply to just this game. (I’m looking at you and your updates for ANYTHING, Apple Inc.!)
