Impressive addition to Total War

I’ve been playing for a week and have not experienced any crashes, glitches, or errors (as other reviewers have claimed). My Macbook Pro is late a Late 2011 model with 16GB memory. Gameplay is smooth as expected.

I’ve been playing Total War since the first installment of Shogun many years ago. Shogun 2 exceeded my expectations. It’s satisfactorily challenging. Balances between tactical battlefield environments to campain strategy (economic and diplomatic). The AI is battle is greatly improved upon Empire Total War and Napoleon.

My only complaint is the economic resource of food surplus, it doesn’t seem like a very intuitive model. I’m not sure yet how to take advantage of it besides neglecting chi attributes to research and upgrade farms in order to build markets and castles without a revolt from food shortages. It doesnt make sense to me.
